| Dr. Michael Koren is the founder of JaxResearch Systems, the company behind e-TrialDoc. Recognized as a leader within the industry, his exposure to medical research began as a student at Brandeis University where he received a degree summa cum laude in chemistry and co-authored a published peer-reviewed paper as an undergraduate. Dr. Koren attended Harvard Medical School, where he graduated with honors. During his medical school training, he completed additional course work at the Harvard School for Public Health and wrote an M.D. thesis using computer decision analysis. He returned to New York City for postdoctoral training at Cornell Medical Center, where he completed residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology. During his postdoctoral training, Dr. Koren served as a third-year chief resident and published several papers and abstracts in cardiology. Dr. Koren is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology. He is the Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology at Memorial Hospital Jacksonville and maintains a private cardiology practice. Over the past ten years, Dr. Koren has been very active in clinical research. He has been principal investigator in over 150 studies and has published numerous scientific papers. In addition, he has been involved in research protocol design, lecturing to physician and lay audiences as well as direct involvement in development of the JaxResearch Systems website. Day to day, Dr. Koren directs the activities at Jacksonville Center for Clinical Research, a multispecialty research clinic with three locations that since its founding in 1997 has conducted over 300 trials involving more than 80 investigators.
